The Canadian Polish Historical Society was pleased to take part in Ukrainian Day 2026, held at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village in Alberta.

Our Society prepared a special cultural and historical display showcasing Polish heritage, publications, archival materials, traditional items, and the work of CPHS. Throughout the day, we had the opportunity to introduce visitors to our organization, share information about our publications and research, and encourage those interested in Polish-Canadian history to explore the resources available through our website.

The event also provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with members of both the Ukrainian and Polish communities, meet new people, exchange stories, and build new relationships. We were delighted by the interest shown in our work and received many positive comments and compliments about the display we had created.

Ukrainian Day brought together a large and diverse crowd for a celebration of culture, history, traditions, and community. For CPHS, it was a particularly meaningful opportunity to celebrate the longstanding connections between Polish and Ukrainian communities in Alberta and to contribute to preserving and sharing our heritage with future generations.

Following the event, the Canadian Polish Historical Society was honoured to receive a letter of appreciation from the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Alberta Provincial Council, recognizing CPHS as a valued supporter of Ukrainian Day 2026 and thanking the Society for its contribution to the success of the event.

We sincerely appreciate the warm welcome we received and everyone who stopped by our display, spoke with us, asked questions, and showed an interest in our work.

It was a beautiful day filled with history, culture, conversations, and new connections, and we were very pleased to be part of Ukrainian Day 2026.
